Each class offers a guided, step-by-step cooking demonstration led by AHWC's expert chefs and registered dietitians, equipping attendees with practical techniques and science-backed nutrition insights. Whether you are looking to expand your cooking skills, incorporate more whole foods into your diet, or simply streamline meal preparation, Fresh Take provides an engaging, accessible way to make healthy eating both enjoyable and sustainable.

What sets Fresh Take apart is its unique fusion of culinary expertise and nutrition education. With practical tips, expert guidance, and easy-to-follow recipes, these sessions transform cooking into an enjoyable and sustainable part of everyday wellness. 

March’s Fresh Take: Celebrating National Nutrition Month
Join Fresh Take for their next demonstration on Thursday, March 20, from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. (MT) on Zoom, featuring Chef Adam Sacks, RD. In honor of National Nutrition Month, Chef Sacks will demonstrate how to make Tempeh Mushroom Veggie Wraps—a fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-packed dish that is easy to recreate at home. Participants will learn essential techniques for maximizing flavor and texture while incorporating a variety of vegetables into their meals.
“Cooking at home doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming,” says Chef Sacks. “This class will show how to create a versatile high protein, nutrient-dense, and easy-to-prepare delicious meal the entire family will enjoy.”

Looking ahead, April’s Fresh Take will be held on Wednesday, April 17, also featuring Chef Adam Sacks. In recognition of Stress Awareness Month, Chef Sacks will guide participants through making Berry Chia Jam, a simple, antioxidant-rich recipe that can be used in a variety of ways to add natural sweetness and nourishment to meals.
