A committee of scientific advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention voted on Thursday to recommend booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine to many Americans, including older people and those with certain underlying medical conditions, but excluded those at risk because of their jobs.
