AURORA, Colo. (September 24, 2024) – The University of Colorado College of Nursing at Anschutz Medical Campus has been ranked #19 in the country in the 2025 Best Bachelor of Science (BSN) Programs by U.S. News & World Report. The rankings are based on more than 650 undergraduate BSN programs and are determined by average scores from surveys of top academics and nursing school or department officials.

The new ranking shows CU Nursing moving up four spots from #23 last year to #19 and jumping 12 spots from when the rankings were first released in 2021/2022.

“This ranking highlights the dedication and commitment of our faculty, staff, and clinical partners to educating students on the essentials of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care,” Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Program Tammy Spencer, DNP, RN, ACNS-BC, CCNS, CNE, says. “Our students come to CU Nursing because they want an excellent education to prepare them for entering the nursing workforce.”

Several of the college’s other programs are ranked highly in recent U.S. News & World Report rankings. CU Nursing remains the #1 nursing program in Colorado.

“CU Nursing is proud to be a leader in the US and Colorado in teaching the next generation of nurses,” CU Nursing Dean Elias Provencio-Vasquez, PhD, RN, FAAN, FAANP, says. “These high rankings for our undergraduate and graduate programs show the commitment of our faculty, staff, and administration to improve nursing education.
