On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the CU Cancer Center and the Department of Surgery will host the City Park 5K-Run and 1-Mile Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research. This annual event has become a key fundraiser, now one of Denver's largest of its kind and the fifth-largest in Colorado dedicated to pancreatic cancer research. Participants from diverse backgrounds—including medical professionals, survivors, athletes, and community members—will come together to support this important cause.

The event, held in Denver's scenic City Park, offers two participation options: a 5K run and a 1-mile walk, ensuring accessibility for all fitness levels. This allows everyone from seasoned runners to casual walkers the opportunity to contribute to pancreatic cancer research.

Funds raised from the event directly support ongoing research efforts at CU Anschutz and beyond. The goal of this research is to improve early detection methods and develop more effective treatments for pancreatic cancer—a disease that currently presents significant challenges in both diagnosis and treatment.

For more information or to sign up, visit City Park 5K. Be part of this important event on November 2, and help advance pancreatic cancer research through your participation.
