What You Need To Know

The new website presents a strong image of the current and future Fitzsimons Innovation Community development, which supports visionaries as they advance scientific discoveries and improve lives.

Fitzsimons Innovation Community has launched a new interactive website reflecting an environment centered on biotech collaboration and surrounded by amenities that support health innovation. The new website was built with site selectors in mind, to aid new companies in choosing the Aurora-based innovation center for their home.

“We invest in a collaborative, entrepreneurial community to attract innovators representing all stages of commercialization,” said Steve VanNurden, president and chief executive officer of Fitzsimons Innovation Community. “Our new interactive website allows us to deliver an extraordinary experience before people set foot on campus. This investment elevates the first interaction with the Community that matches the advancements happening here.”

Fast pace of development

Fitzsimons Innovation Community has maintained a fast pace of development over the past 10 years, building the capacity to marry up with the market. With an increase in demand for move-in ready life sciences lab space, the Community partners with member companies to accommodate their immediate needs, offering flexibility to relocate within the Community and share resources. The Community development team is designing spec labs in the existing Bioscience 3 building to support startups as they grow. Bioscience 5, a new facility dedicated to cell and gene therapy, will open in October 2022, and modeling is underway on a new Bioscience 4 project, expected to break ground in 2023.

April Giles, vice president of business development at Fitzsimons Innovation Community, said the new website presents a strong image of the current and future Fitzsimons Innovation Community development. “Along with benefits of the location – proximity to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, residential and living aspects, and Colorado lifestyle – we showcase each building’s capacity of space, common amenities, and a sense of place.”

The site selectors section was built specifically for this audience to help them find the new home for their clients’ needs.
